Marloes Sands Beach

This spectacular mile-long beach showcases some of Pembrokeshire's most dramatic geology, with striking red sandstone cliffs, sea stacks, and fascinating rock formations that tell the story of ancient landscapes. The beach is famous for its fossil-hunting opportunities and the nearby Gateholm Island, accessible at low tide via a rocky causeway. The combination of golden sand, turquoise waters, and the towering presence of offshore islands creates a wild, almost prehistoric atmosphere that makes this one of the most photographed beaches on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
