Sandbanks Beach
Dogs are not allowed on the main section of Sandbanks Beach from 1 May to 30 September.
Sandbanks Beach stretches along one of the world's most expensive pieces of real estate, offering four miles of pristine golden sand and crystal-clear waters within Poole Harbour. This Blue Flag beach is renowned for its exceptional water quality and safe swimming conditions, while its sheltered position makes it perfect for sailing, windsurfing, and paddleboarding. The beach's sophisticated atmosphere is enhanced by upmarket beach clubs, stylish cafés, and luxury hotels, yet it remains wonderfully family-friendly with lifeguards, clean facilities, and gentle slopes into the water. The famous Sandbanks Chain Ferry provides a charming connection to Studland, while the beach's position offers stunning views across to Brownsea Island and the Purbeck Hills, creating an almost Mediterranean ambiance on England's south coast.
