As well as being one of the longest running UK Surf Schools we are the only Surf School in Newquay to boast not one, but two Ex-Professional Surfers on their Full Time Coaching Team: Head Coach Mike Young & Senior Coach Reubin Pearce.

We love teaching complete beginners but we also teach Intermediate and Advanced Surf Coaching and are the only surf school in Newquay offering outback, technical & progressive surf lessons on a daily basis.

We are a Specialist Surf School, in that we only teach Surfing. Our instructors are focused on their Surf Coaching, and not distracted by offering kayak lessons, coasteering, paddleboarding etc, so if you want to learn to surf or improve your surfing, with Specialist Surf Coaches then look no further.

We are open 12 months of the year, 7 days a week, closed only on Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day. Whatever the time of year, you can receive the best Surf Coaching from the experienced team at Escape Surf School.

Thanks Pigeon and Andrew! We had such an incredible time surfing at Escape. Awesome location, great team, and outdoor hot showers right after the lesson was very welcome! We'll definitely be coming back for lessons next time we're in Newquay!

Really Enjoyed the experience today. The Instructor Richard known as “Pigeon” 😂 was a really nice chap who made the experience really brilliant. Over the 2 hour session we got better and better whilst our instructor told us what we can improve on. So please let his management know he deserves some praise🙌🏼. I would highly recommend this activity, I did a lesson with this exact company roughly 7 years ago when I was in college and it was just as good if not better this time round. I would highly recommend. Great sense of achievement at the end of it 😁

I had a brilliant 121 lesson with Escape. The team were warm and friendly on arrival and helped me get kitted out, checking sizing well and keeping me comfortable. Andrew was a 10/10 instructor, he gave me all of the information I needed before heading into the waves but also getting going in plenty of time he picked out what what I needed to tweak on each go, and also pulled back well, metaphorically knowing when to take the arm bands off! We covered lots of material and I was really pleased with how well it went. I had envy of everyone else out surfing throughout the rest of my trip to Cornwall. Thank you to Andrew & the Team!

“I give them a 5 star review because it was a one in a million experience. The teachers were so kind and they helped us through the steps one by one. They had warm showers after so if you are cold you can warm up. Pigeon was so kind to us and really helped me. I have never surfed before but I was standing on the board by the end of the lesson. Booked lessons for my kids and they absolutely loved it! Communication was brilliant, the instructors were really friendly and professional and the children can’t wait to go back for more lessons. Would highly recommend.
