Charming Coastal Town with a Cozy Vibe Hastings is such a lovely seaside town full of character and history. The Old Town is cozy and full of charm, with great little pubs and shops. The food scene is surprisingly good, and the bar(ye Olde Plumphouse) we visited was warm and welcoming—great atmosphere and delicious bites. Don’t miss the castle ruins or the funicular for stunning views. A perfect mix of history, sea, and chill vibes. Would definitely visit again!

Hastings Pier offers a unique and modern seaside experience. Rebuilt after a devastating fire, it now stands as a spacious platform, perfect for strolling and enjoying the sea views. The open design prioritizes accessibility with smooth, level pathways throughout, making it very wheelchair friendly. Accessible toilets are also available. You'll find a contemporary visitor center, and often various events and food vendors pop up, adding to its appeal as a flexible public space. While some recent events have faced scrutiny regarding safety and organization, the pier itself remains a welcoming and accessible landmark.
