No photos are allowed inside the eclectic mix of exhibits set in a former police station and magistrates court. It includes information about the wars, local sandals, and entertainment in the local area.

Nice little museum but the man on the front desk who gave us our tickets was horribly racist. In the 5 minute conversation we had he started telling us about how he grew up in Luton but doesn’t go back because there’s too many black people! I am aware that this is not the museums fault but they should be made aware.

Very interesting visit. Shame about the gentleman on the desk as we entered who was rude and full of his own importance. Felt like turning around and leaving. Could have ruined our experience but the other volunteers’ kindness and knowledge made up for this. Not sure what his problem was?

Well, it's worth a visit and shows the visitors a short history of margate. It's just a shame you are not allowed to take photos, and they do tend to follow you to make sure you don't. If people could then see how great it is
