Been coming here on holiday since I was a kid! Lovely part of the world, pier is nicely maintained now with loads of food and drink options around the area. Crabbing spots still going strong , just watch out for the hungry sea gulls!

An impressive pier that has history on its side and is worth a visit, accepting that it is no more than a platform over the sea. Your visit will contribute to its survival, and the lack of arcades and cheap rides is rare and valuable today.

It was a spur of the moment visit. On entry, we were given a leaflet that explains a bit about the history of the pier and certain land marks to look out for. There's plenty of seating, so you can stop & soak up the views. There's also a cafe there with both indoor/outdoor seating.

Really tranquil and relaxing place. Lovely cafe just as you go onto the pier.

Great views of Swanage, the surrounding UNESCO world heritage site and various landmarks originally from London but transported back to Swanage as ballast! Thousands of Brass plaques on the pier, too. Amazing cafe and museum, Diving schools and fishing.
