As part of being a history nerd, I do love a local museum or heritage centre. Therefore I was delighted to stumble across this place during my few hours in Bude. Lots of well designed and interesting local displays within an attractive old building. Free to visit and there is also a cafe. Situated next to the canal, which we were having a walk along.

Fabulous place for a relaxing coffee or tea and the toasted teacakes are delicious. Light lunch options and always lovely welcoming staff. Jill looked after us on a recent visit and she is delightful.
