Torquay's Dinosaur World
Reviews
Stumbled across this great little place while we was visiting the town. Have a 9yr old daughter & 3yr old son. My daughter loved the activity sheet, there was two different sheets one was easy and one bit more challenging. My daughter really enjoyed going round and finding the answers and so did my husband. We have visited plenty of dinosaur attractions and this was one I would love to come back to again. The variety of dinosaurs and information was great to see. A lot of opportunities for the kids being able to sit/stand and have their pictures took with different dinosaurs and having the fun of shifting through sand to find bones/fossils. The little activity room was a really nice touch where they can look at books or colour. Great little place, and both the gents we spoke to today were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Disgraceful Treatment by Staff Who Couldn’t Be Bothered to Do Their Jobs After driving over an hour with my young child—excited for a promised visit to Torquay’s Dinosaur Museum—we arrived well before the advertised last entry time of 3:30pm, only to find ourselves ignored at the front door. It was 3:13pm, doors locked, lights on, and multiple staff clearly visible inside. We knocked, waved, waited patiently, assuming there must have been some misunderstanding. Eventually, a staff member begrudgingly came to the door only to give a flimsy excuse about being “the only one on site” and claimed there was a water leak. Funny that, considering a number of staff were plainly seen exiting shortly after—none of whom appeared in any rush to fix any imaginary leak. It was transparently obvious: they had simply decided to shut up early and head home. What kind of attraction treats guests this way—especially a child who had been looking forward to it all day? It’s a small museum, not a national treasure, and yet the staff seem to think customer service and basic professionalism are optional. If you advertise 3:30pm as the last admission, don’t slam the door in someone’s face at 3:13pm. Shame on the staff who decided their early finish was more important than honouring your opening hours, and double shame for fabricating nonsense rather than simply admitting they couldn’t be bothered. This isn’t just poor service—it’s downright disrespectful. Avoid this place unless you want to risk wasting your time and dealing with staff who clearly don’t care about the people who make their jobs possible.
Nice little place, the kids loved it aged 5 & 2. The place is small but we were there 1 and half hours maybe a little more. Would could had done a little longer but youngest was hungry. No need to book just turn up. Little quiz as you go round to keep the kids entertained. A few sand pits to find fossils which was great.
Smaller than expected, we was there less than an hour however there is so much squeezed in to the small space. Definitely worth the money
Friendly staff. But not too much inside. lots of dinosaur models not sure it's worth the entrance fee
