Called by this afternoon for a scone, cream and jam. Setting is perfect. Wonderful view. But the scone was terrible. Far too big and tasted like a cross between bread and cake.
Maybe the chef could go to a National Trust property to taste their scones. They are perfect for half the price.

Very nice hotel on the beach. Spa is only partially usable with children (e.g. no access to hot pot), pool closed after 6 pm for children etc. Which was a very big disappointment for my child at least. Sad if you spend so much money and then you can not fully enjoy. Food is very good and atmosphere is nice.

This is my favourite place to go. We have been here every year for lunch on my birthday for the last 3 years. We have also gone at other times when we are on holiday but wow this year was exceptional. We were waited on by a lovely chap called Sean/Shaun. I was telling him how much I loved the Mussels they do but the last couple of visits they have not been on the menu as they are a Special. This particular day 8.5.25 they did have mussels but as a curry with monk fish. I told Sean/Shaun I was disappointed especially as it was my birthday. He said leave it with me....off he went, spoke to the chef and the chef asked how I liked them cooked, I got so excited. Had to be White Wine & Cream.....and that is exactly what I got. Now this is going above and beyond in my eyes. Excellent customer service. I made a point of of informing the Manager Tom on how good Sean/Shaun was. I was then presented with a glass of Prosecco and they wished me a happy birthday. Honestly every visit to Watergate Bay Hotel just gets better with every visit. The most beautiful setting with excellent food and customer service. Thank you.

Stayed care for my surfing holiday. Location couldn’t better. The beach is steps away. The surfing school is around the corner too. The hotel had so many cozy spaces to hang out. There is a enough choices for food. Loved the swim club. Nothing better than getting into sauna after surfing ☺️

Loved the indoor infinity pool, which you can have drinks in(added bonus) the sauna with the big glass window looking out onto to the beach was great.
The room and balcony were lovely.
Food was great. Will go again, when i have saved.
Great atmosphere and you were made to feel welcome.
