Fleetwood Beach
A small part of the beach is closed off to dogs from 1 June to 31 August.
Fleetwood Beach offers visitors a chance to experience authentic Lancashire maritime heritage alongside miles of unspoiled sandy coastline. The beach extends northward from the historic fishing port, famous for its traditional fish market and the elegant Mount Pavilion, providing a more working-class alternative to the county's resort towns. The expansive sands are perfect for walking, with excellent opportunities to observe the town's fishing fleet coming and going, while the nearby Wyre Estuary Country Park offers additional walking trails and wildlife watching opportunities. The beach benefits from its position at the mouth of the River Wyre, creating diverse habitats that attract numerous bird species, while the town's excellent fish and chip shops and traditional pubs provide authentic refreshments after a day by the sea.
