Best beaches in Lancashire

A sculpture trail called the Mythic Coast Artwork Trail runs the length of the promenade, inspired by the children's book "The Sea Swallow.”

Sand runs north from Rossall Beach to the mouth of the River Wyre, a working fishing port with its own tram terminus from Blackpool.

Set within the Arnside & Silverdale AONB, a limestone pavement backs this small cove, home to rare pearl-bordered fritillary butterflies and Lady's-slipper orchids.

Rows of colourful beach huts line the sand here, on the same stretch of Fylde coast as Fleetwood and Cleveleys.
