St Annes Beach
Dogs are not allowed on the central section between the lifeboat station and pier from Good Friday to 30th September.
St. Anne's North Beach represents the pinnacle of Lancashire's seaside offerings, combining championship-standard sand with excellent facilities and elegant Victorian surroundings. The beach stretches northward from the town's iconic pier, offering some of the finest sand in Northwest England that's regularly awarded Blue Flag status for its cleanliness and safety standards. The Victorian promenade provides excellent facilities including award-winning cafes, clean public toilets, and regular entertainment during summer months, while the beach itself offers safe swimming, excellent wind and kite surfing conditions, and space for beach sports. The nearby Ashton Gardens provide beautiful landscaped grounds for picnicking, while the town's excellent shopping and dining options along Lord Street offer sophisticated alternatives when you need a break from the beach.
